Surrey is often known as the ‘stockbroker belt’. However, it is a large county and whilst there are many towns and villages that could rightly take that name, there are also many area’s that are quintessential English countryside.
The main towns are Guildford, Richmond, Kingston, Cobham and Esher. These give great train links into London and are extremely popular with commuters.
Further south towns like Haslemere have a villagey feel and the most lovely countryside. the Surrey Downs being a firm favourite with walkers. The A3 and M3 give good access both to London and the south coast.
