Berkshire is a popular place to relocate as it offers a practical commute into London and has a number of major towns offering high employment opportunities. It also has a green feel and most area’s offer good schools and infrastructure.
Major towns are, Reading, Slough, Maidenhead, Windsor, Newbury, Bracknell and Ascot.
Some area’s are nicer than others of course and it’s our job to help people understand that but even the less salubrious towns offer some rather nice villages in their environs. relocating to Berkshire is a great opinion if you need to access the M4 or London -particularly West London.
In west Berkshire there are some of the most beautiful villages and countryside, around Hungerford (the setting for Watership Down) and Lambourn lie undulating green hills and small rural communities, yet still fairly accessible into London.
The majority of train lines run into London Paddington with a fast train from Reading taking approx. 28 minutes. For access to West London this is probably faster than if you lived in some parts of London.
